Let’s face it, the economy is slowly but surely opening back up and many of us are ready to get back up on our beauty treatments.
I finally took a dive and got permanent makeup.
I was so nervous but so excited at the same time. I had been wanting to get my eyebrows done for so long.
The idea of not having to do my eyebrows in the morning for another 1 to 2 years. The amount of money I’ll save by not having to purchase makeup every month and most importantly, time.
I went to see a microblading specialist here in my hometown in Houston.
The name of the place is called ‘Home Spa Houston’.
I was greeted by my permanent makeup artist, Hannah. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
I filled out some paper work which took about 10-15 minutes just asking general questions about my overall health and disclaimers etc. After completeing my paperwork we began a ‘predraw’.
The Predrawn process is basically where the artists shapes and takes facial measurements to ensure your eyebrows look as natural as possible and fit the shape of your face.
Finally, we numbed my eyebrows for 20-minutes and then, the process began.
Hannah begins using a needle that’s pigmented to match the color of my brows. The pain level was about a 5 out of 10.
In total, the process took 2.5 hours and beautiful results took place.
Tips on maintaining eyebrows:
*For 10-days post op only clean eye brows with distilled water by applying a cotton pad and ‘tapping’ your eyebrows with the soaked cotton
*Apply Aquaphor 4-5 times per day (very thin layer) to allow the skin to breath.
*Schedule a touch up 4-6 weeks later.
That’s it! No seeing the technician for another 1 to 2 years!
I totally would recommend this treatment. We did the ‘Powder Brow’ technique.
