Facials, facials, facials!
I just love getting facials because it’s really a time for self-care and enhances your skincare experience.
I recently received a Dermaplaning facial and it was an amazing experience. It was my very first time so I am excited to share with you the process and what to expect.
My dermaplaning facial took place at the Bee Renee Med Spa in Houston, TX.
What is dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a cosmetic procedure that removes the top layers of your skin. The procedure aims to remove fine wrinkles and deep acne scarring, as well as make the skin’s surface look smooth.
I was super nervous but my nerves were immediately gone when I met the staff and they were so warm and inviting.
Felipe, the receptionist immediately greeted me with a smile and informed me that I was in great hands. He answered all my questions and was very patient with me.
Then I was greeted by the lovely and beautiful Ms. Bee Renee, the esthetician who performed my facial.

Renee invited me with a warm welcomed. (no we did not hug due to covid-19 lol).
I was taken to the back in a cute and nice set up. The atmosphere felt so warm and inviting with the beautiful aqua blue colored walls.
Upon entering, I was given the option to change out of my clothes into the clean fresh wardrobe they offered or keep the top that I was already wearing.
Let’s be clear, I was not asked to get naked lol.
After everything was set and I was ready, Renee came back into the room and let me know what I could expect during the 45-minute facial.
My face was deep cleansed while steam was slowly blowing in my face for about 5 to 10 minutes.
After the cleansing process a tool that looked like a medical grade instrument was placed on my face gently.
The process seemed to go by fairly quickly as I was talking a lot through the process.
After the exfoliation process, a jelly like mask was applied to my face for 15-minutes.

Following the mask a serum was applied to my skin.
I was immediately blown away by the results. My skin was glowy and dewy and I immediately booked another session.
Overall my experience was pleasant and definitely worth doing again.
On average these types of facials run between $80-$150 per treatment.
However, if you can’t afford out of pocket costs, most places offer financing or you can opt for a Care credit card which has excellent promotional deals to help you with your cosmetic needs.
Would you ever get this type of facial?
Take a look behind the scenes.
