Advice and trends on cleansing the skin has evolved in the past ten years.
We’ve evolved from using bars of soaps that stripped our skins PH leaving a dry pasty white residue on the skin. To more advanced cleansers that contain hyaluronic acid to help keep our skin moist after cleansing.
But what about this ‘new’ craze of ‘double-cleansing’?
It is what it sounds like, cleansing your skin twice (or three times). However, it’s not down to something as simple as cleansing twice with the same type of cleanser, two or more must be involved.
Its about the goal in the treatment of your skin (that includes the cleansing component factor).
For example, A gel cleanser + Oil based cleanser are a good combination depending on your skin type.

This process is great for daily makeup users. When wearing makeup for long periods of time without proper cleansing, can cause clogging in the pores.
To combat clogging pores and dry skin, double cleansing to ensure all the makeup, dirt and ‘grime’ in the skin is gone.
Following up with a good toner to help replace the P.H. balance in your skin.
