In the school of Esthetics you learn more than just facials and waxes which is great.
Another viable source of income in your business is Lashes.
I learned all about the basics of applying lashes. ‘classic’ style. ‘Classic’ is just described as a simple and natural application to the clients lash line.
Lash extension application can be very time consuming and it is very tedious. If you’re not a person with patience I would advise that this may not be the service for you to offer.
Being passionate about what you do is so important, so sticking to the basic classic set could be the way to go.
The classic eyelash extension is when one lash extension is applied to one natural lash (some call it 1:1 lash). With a classic lash set, your clients lashes can look more naturally elongated and elegant.
To keep it simple you will need the following tools:
A set individual lash extensions.
Lash Adhesive
A pair of scissors
Adhesive tape
Two tweezers
Step 1″ Clean the natural lash of the client.
Step 2: Apply the lash tape underneath the clients lower lid (do not place on top of the eye-lid).
Step 3: Grab tweezer (one with your left hand and the other with your right hand).
You will use your stronger hand to apply the lash extension on top of the clients natural lash. As you are applying you will start from the outer corners working in making sure you are applying the shortest lash length in the inner corners and the longest length on the outer corners of the eye.
As your applying one lash you’re using your other hand to separate the natural lash on each side of the lash you are focusing on.
I personally found this process to be too tedious but I noticed my application skills became much more speedy the more I practiced.
I am still undecided on if I will offer this service or not.
